About us

By and for 2SLGBTQIA+ people.

MyTest is an HIV self-testing initiative delivered by and for 2SLGBTQIA+ people. MyTest is led by the Community-Based Research Centre (CBRC), a national non-profit for gender diverse and sexually diverse people, in partnership with Grindr for Equality.

CBRC has led a number of HIV self-testing initiatives since 2020, distributing HIV self-tests to tens of thousands of 2SLGBTQIA+ people across Canada. Through this work, we aim to reduce barriers to HIV testing and increase access to stigma-free HIV testing for 2SLGBTQIA+ communities across the country.

Additional contributions to this program have been made by a number of organizations across the country committed to 2SLGBTQIA+ health, HIV prevention and treatment, and harm reduction. Funding is provided by the Public Health Agency of Canada.
